Rika Coppens, ceo house of hr, among the 50 most powerful hr women in the world

Rika Coppens, CEO of the European HR services group House of HR, is among the top 50 women in the world of human resources, according to a recent announcement by Staffing Industry International. She is the only Belgian on the list. Moreover, House of HR is the only Belgian company to get mentioned. House of HR is the parent organisation of Redmore Group.
In November of each year, Staffing Industry Analysts (‘SIA’), a global knowledge aggregator in the HR industry, publishes its ‘Global Power 150 – Women in Staffing’ list. On Wednesday 18 November, SIA announced the list for 2020. Its sixth edition lists the 150 most important women in the world of human resources: the 100 most important in America, and the 50 most important worldwide. It is in that worldwide top-50 that Rika Coppens is listed as the only Belgian woman. They are all women who, in their own way, leave their mark on the HR world.

Subadhra Sriram, who publishes the list, explains: ‘These are women from different backgrounds, but they all make a difference in a sector that is in full swing. At a time when a pandemic is disproportionately impacting on women and minorities, they are making tremendous efforts to eliminate the dramatic negative impact Covid-19 is having on the workplace. The women on this list are building new companies, products and technologies and creating a future where men and women alike feel at home professionally.’ The list includes CEOs, entrepreneurs, lawyers, technology experts etc.
Rika Coppens is pleased with this spectacular recognition, but remains down-to-earth and modest. ‘This list is the result of a mathematical calculation, but if it can help me to discuss the important topics in the field of HR, then I am happy. There is still a lot of work to be done to get everyone into work and to keep them there: a responsibility, by the way, that lies with all social partners.’

In the near future, SIA will also publish its list of the largest HR companies in the world, based on the realised turnover in the past year. In the 2019 list, House of HR ranked 25th. Based on the consolidated turnover (2019) of EUR 1.8 billion, House of HR is expected to end up a little higher in the rankings in the new list.
